A boppy, a bumbo, and a cowboy named Woody

I'm now enjoying my last week of
maternity leave with Alice. It's been an amazing time with her and I'm going to really miss this little sweetie every day when I head back to work.
The boppy is a lot of fun for everyone...if Alice is laying in, well then Caleb has to lay in it too.
I think these pictures really show that Alice and Caleb look similar. They have totally different hair and skin colors, but they've got almost the same facial features...eerie.
It's bumbo time. Alice tried it out for the first time today and really enjoyed it.
Caleb was also about 12 weeks old when he tried out the bumbo for the first time...here is a retro picture. Such a cute boy.
And don't think Caleb didn't want to sit in the bumbo today as well. We gave him a Woody doll tonight after watching Toy Story for the first time. We've been reading a Toy Story book every night for weeks so I think he was pretty excited to see Woody on the big screen and in person.

Dinner - Ugg

Practicing funny faces at dinner turned into Caleb just looking downright depressed...but still so cute.

Happy Kiddos

Yesterday Caleb, Alice and I all hung out to celebrate Presidents Day and it was a fun day, although it could have been warmer. When will spring be here?
Caleb loves to help change Alice's diaper. Really he just likes to stand on his stool and go through all of the liquid stuff in the diaper caddy.

Alice

It's becoming my mission to figure out our DSLR and Alice is my new subject. I'm still figuring out the settings, but here are a couple pictures from our last shoot. It was pretty difficult to make a newborn cooperate. I'm seeing now why photographers charge a sitting fee. I was looking at newborn pictures online and saw that apparently what makes a cute picture is to put a hat on the baby. Here is Alice in a hat...and it is pretty cute.

And a post isn't a post without hearing what Caleb is up to. He's found the stash of his old baby things and doesn't see anything wrong with using them himself. At his current age he actually gets more use out of them than he did when he was a baby. As a baby he would sit in this exersaucer and just fiddle with a few things here and there and then be done. As a toddler, he uses it as more of a circular workstation.

The Big Blizzard

A HUGE blizzard was forecasted for Tuesday and today and we were ready! August and Caleb stayed home with Alice and I both days and we played a lot of Candy Land (thank you Sherie!), watched a lot of Thomas and Elmo, and got outside some.
The snow fell and the wind blew it everywhere. Of course not as much fell in KC as predicted, but for those shoveling it was enough.

Funny joke

Alice has a funny joke.
And she told it to Caleb.
The parents feel left out.
