A Few Other Cute Pics

Trying on Great-Aunt Denise's cowboy hat
Dad - Give it back!
Looking like he's been caught...
Happy baby!

Zoo!

Over Labor Day weekend we took Caleb to the zoo! He spent about 15% of the time observing the animals and about 85% of the time people watching. He truly is my son!
Caleb did like watching these birds. We think he felt connected because of the spiky hair.
Sitting with dad, just taking it all in.

New Things!

We had a funny moment on Sunday. We were over at Dan and Deborah's and I hear Deborah say "Oh, you didn't tell me he could do this...". I look over to see Caleb climbing up the stairs! This was a first so we had no idea he could do it either! He will climb about 3 steps before wanting to move on to something else.
Caleb is also facinated with opening and closing doors. Here is a picture of him doing his thing. It's fun for him, but gives me anxiety...ahhh watch your fingers!!What are those dogs up to?
Always looks like he's been caught.

We hope that you had a wonderful birthday! Caleb can't wait to see you again so he can get a comfy nap in!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Grandpa Sissman celebrated his birthday this weekend. We hope that you had a wonderful day (full of travel!).
One of my Dad's favorite stories to tell is that when he first met Caleb after he was born, Caleb leaned in and whispered in my Dad's ear "Grandpa, I love you the best" (he tells the same story about Caleb's cousin Sam). Although Caleb still has trouble actually vocalizing this, we know that he does love Grandpa very much!

10 Months!

Caleb is 10 months and 1 week! I can't even believe we are less than two months away from celebrating his first birthday. He's still getting along like crazy. He's now clapping, crawling, and pulling himself up to his feet. There was a point when I wondered if he'd be army crawling his way through college, but he's decided to progress (although the belly was an incredibly efficient way of getting around).

Caleb may be blind from the flash, but this picture shows off his personality and dimples. He loves the camera.
Here are some action shots of Caleb getting up to his feet.
Caleb is definitely to the stage where he likes to crawl all over you and just be close. I'm loving it! He's very fun to be goofy with.
Still working on the stairs.
So another new thing for Caleb is this scrunchy face. He's constantly squishing up and then laughing. I suppose he's just finding new ways to express himself!
Crawling Baby!
We've reached the end of the Mohawk/Fro era. Caleb's hair (as you can see in the above pictures) now lays down flat. This is one of the last mohawk pics from a few weeks ago.
Another sweet Caleb thing - sleeping with his butt in the air.
