Family Weekend at the Lake

This is a late post - but pictures too fun to not share.  My family came from Wyoming and California this past July to spend a weekend with us at the lake.  We had a blast swimming, boating, playing games, and just being together.  My brother-in-law Steve already blogged about their adventure out and he described our weekend so well...that I'm going to ask you to wander over to his blog page for a quick description of the fun.

And here are some more fun pictures.

Sweet Anabel with Aunt Terri (also sweet).
The girls enjoying each other - I love some matching pajamas!
Looks like Uncle Steve forgot his matching outfit.
And of course the boys - these two had so much fun together.  We definitely miss Sam a lot!!!

More Caleb, More Alice, More Cow Bell

Here they are - the button nose gang.
August and Caleb checking out some planes on our drive to the lake.
As always, Caleb loves to be participating.
Caleb has been doing a LOT of growing up in the past few weeks.  He is now binky free (threw them all away himself), using big boy underwear and the big potty, and has started at a new school.  I was so worried about him going through all of these changes at once, but he has done such an amazing job and is very proud of himself.  We're currently weaning him off getting a piece of special candy after every trip to the bathroom.  Now that diaper-free is the norm, eating candy every time he uses the potty cannot be.  So much for the reward system!
This was the reason we lowered the crib - thank you Caleb for showing Alice that she could pull herself up.
Just looking for a specific toy...
And of course these two are always having fun in Caleb's bed.  Alice always has a funny expression.

8 Month Alice - Look at her go!

Whew this is one SWEET girl!  Alice has conquered 8 months and is showing us how it's all done.  She's crawling everywhere, pulling herself up, and has started saying "Ma-Ma".  As a result, her crib has been lowered, the basement door is permently shut, and everyone is having a lot of fun.  The other day Caleb yelled at my sister on the phone "Alice is crawling up Mommy's leg!"  Alice's new mobility means that she can now satisfy her own needs when it comes to always wanting to be around us.  She'll now just crawl into the room your in if she wants to see you. She still has the sweetest disposition and the fuzziest head.
